Sweet and Spicy Walnuts

Here's another great way to enjoy GoldRiver Orchards walnuts as a snack

2 large egg whites
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons smoked paprika (sweet)
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-1/2 pounds raw GoldRiver Orchards Walnut halves
6 tablespoons butter, melted

Beat the egg whites in electric mixer with the salt until very foamy.

Gradually beat in sugar and beat until soft peaks form. (do not over beat).

Fold in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika and cayenne.

Fold in walnuts and butter, stirring just until nuts are coated.

Spread in a thin layer onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in the middle of a preheated 325 F oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes. Remove from pan while hot onto a foil lined baking pan.

Cool and break into clusters. Makes about 1-1/2 pounds.
