2 cups GoldRiver Orchards Walnuts
1 cup unsalted butter, cut into half inch pieces
8 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
2-1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 eggs, room temperature
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350°.
Place walnuts on sheet and bake until lightly browned – about 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool and chop.
Butter 9″ x 13″ pan and dust with flour.
Melt butter and chocolate in double boiler over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
Remove from heat and allow to cool 5 minutes.
Mix in sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Stir in flour and salt until mixture is smooth. Stir in walnuts.
Add batter to pan and spread evenly. Place in center of oven and bake for 30 -35 minutes.
Transfer to cooling rack and allow to cool to room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Remove from refrigerator and cut brownies into desired sized squares.
